Our City, Our World is delighted to welcome new funding from Believ as part of its social value commitment through its partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council’s We’re Electric programme. This funding will support the development of the transport-focused strand within the initiative, helping thousands of young people explore how sustainable travel choices can contribute to a cleaner, healthier and more resilient city for future generations and better understand the role that low-carbon transport can play in tackling climate change.
As part of the partnership, Believ and the Council’s We’re Electric team will deliver school engagement sessions that explore the benefits of switching to electric vehicles, including reduced emissions, lower running costs and improved local air quality. The sessions will also address common questions about EV ownership, demonstrating how convenient charging can be, even for households without access to a driveway. By connecting classroom learning with practical action, the programme aims to empower young people to become informed ambassadors for sustainable transport within their families and communities.
